A Room Of Her Own Foundation (AROHO) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, organized and operated to further the vision of Virginia Woolf and bridge the often fatal gap between a woman's economic reality and her artistic creation.

A Room Of Her Own provides innovative art patronage for women writers and artists through Gift of Freedom Awards.

A Room Of Her Own educates the community about the work of women writers and artists and the impact their work has on society.

A Room of Her Own's unique approach recognizes and supports diverse artistic expressions - the written arts (fiction, creative nonfiction, literary journalism, poetry, playwriting, screenwriting) as well as the visual arts (painting, sculpting, photography).

A Room Of Her Own Foundation is an opportunity for women and men to help women artists in various fields of art express their own voice and vision.

A Room Of Her Own Foundation provides very practical help, both materially and in professional guidance and moral support, to women who need assistance in making their creative contributions to the world.

A Room Of Her Own Foundation is a circle of mentors which will expand as a woman who is mentored by another will eventually give back by becoming a mentor of yet another woman, so that artistic community continues to grow.

A Room Of Her Own Foundation is organized and operated to assist women artists based, in part, upon the future, potential impact of their artists' works on the broader community. The women receiving assistance are able to realize their own specific vision, however, by realizing their individual vision, they will provide the communities that observe or experience their work with a unique aesthetic, emotional and intellectual experience that would otherwise not be available to the broader community. Thus, the community at large is benefited.
